A Catching Up

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been fairly busy with school, video games, and chores. I'm having to do a summary of the past grades, typing a paragraph for each grade, First to Senior. I also have to type up an extensive type of book report, called an independent reading assignment. I have read the book, now I have to type a section on vocabulary, plot summary, literary elements, author's purposes, etc. Meanwhile, on my Xbox, I renamed "xboxdash.xbe" to "msdash.xbe," and now the system can't find the dashboard on startup. This means I'm only able to play DVDs and games for now, until I reformat the hard drive as fatx and reinstall UnleashX dashboard and utilities. Unfortunately, this will wipe out my game saves, media, stored games, emulators, and etc. Phooey. If I only had a way to rename the dash xbe file back to its original name. I can't FTP either, so that's a major problem. I tried running an autoinstaller disc, but it appears I've disabled autorun for data-type CDs. I also deleted the linux installer save for MechAssault, and cannot run a save from memory cards, so that really sucks. I'm also planning to refurbish the software on my iPod Touch. It's currently jailbroken, with software v.2.2 (5G77). I've got a five-column springboard running, and a five-icon dock to match. I've also hacked into the iPod a little further, and enabled StreetView for the Maps app; this inadvertently enabled other iPhone features as well, like Emergency Call on the lock screen, Airplane Mode, and options to text/call a contact while viewing their info. The features are pretty much useless, seeing as the iPod Touch doesn't have a built-in antenna for the software to use; every time I try to use Emergency Call from the lock screen, the iPod locks up until I press the lock button again. I wish there was a way to isolate only the StreetView feature without tinkering with the rest of the iPhone OS. By the way, I'm at the public library now, and I've actually brought my card with me to use the computers this time. I can use the wireless modem in the library by accessing the modem's IP server web site, and entering my Library card number and PIN code. From there on, I can access any web page that isn't restricted by the library. What fun. That's about it for now. Peace.
